CARE
Vacuum or shake dust off. Handle spills immediately, blot up by pressing firmly with clean, white paper or cloth towels, working from the outside of the spot inward to avoid spreading. Use equal parts vinegar and cold water or use mild, clear dishwashing detergent for more stubborn stains. Avoid harsh detergents, stain removers or bleach. For deep cleaning send to specialist.
KEY FEATURES
-
Only up to 2 handwoven rugs per BIRD design are created for the floor or as wall hangings / tapestries.
-
Egypt's unique climate and the fertile soil of the River Nile is ideal for growing cotton with extra-long fibres that are smaller in diameter than regular cotton. These finer fibres create smooth yarns when combed and spun. Most Egyptian cotton is hand-picked, which lends to high levels of purity and the fibres remain straight and intact.
-
This item is handwoven on peddle looms by local artisans in Egyptian villages. Each item may take up to a week to weave once the design is tested and approved. Due to the handmade process, there are slight variations in output including dimensions.
-
By purchasing this item, you are supporting local artisans in Egypt, creating jobs for future generations and preserving traditional craft.
